Trio of Thank you Notes

Here’s a little trio of thank you notes that I put together last night. I used Trimming the Town paper and an older retired set that was one of my favorites, Nothing Sweeter.

You know I’m an advocate of using your older sets, and as much as I’d love to sell you new stuff, I know that’s not always practical! So these are what I made to send to my family and I thought I’d share them with you.

Simple Yet Cute!

I love making simple note cards that have a cuteness factor. The Trimming the Town DSP adds playfulness, and the Nothing Sweeter stamps put a graphic element on them that appeals to me. I didn’t want to dig out all my equipment (I finally got it all cleaned up for Christmas!) so I simply stamped and cut out the images with scissors. Easy! And each card has a touch of sparkle with a Glimmer Paper element.

“Thank you” comes from the Free as a Bird stamp set. I used Versamark Ink and heat embossed them with white embossing powder. My touch of glimmer is in the knots of the bows.

This one may be my favorite! I only used a 3″ length of DSP on this one because that was the size of my left over scrap! And it left the exact right size space for the tree. Sweet! The chunky glimmer star was punched with an old star punch of mine.

And the third one has two hearts, Pool Party and Misty Moonlight, with a white glimmer snowflake that I found.

Use Up Your Paper!

I do love the way these turned out. I think I’ll make several more to have handy for next year, too. So often I have gobs of leftover DSP. I think if I use it up with cards like this, it will feel good and not wasteful. Anybody out there have that same leftovers dilemma?

Have a lovely weekend! The rush of Christmas is over ~ sit and relax a little bit! Come Monday I’ll have a card with new products to share. January is right around the corner. That means a new catalog, Sale-a-Bration, and product shares! See you then!

  1. Simple but cute says it well. I have a ton of DSP including at least five packs of this paper left. I used the snowflake sheets in 90+ treat holders for police, fire, ambulance people. I am still trying to make New Year’s, winter cards etc though. But, I am thinking I can get a head start on cards for soldiers, seniors etc. Love these cards.

    • Thanks, Chris! And thank you for your comments throughout this year. They have meant a lot to me! Here’s to a happy and healthy new year! Wishing you the best!
