Beach Boardwalk Birthday

School is starting up again, which means summer is nearly over! I thought I’d take one more trip to the beach boardwalk before it closes down for the season! Here’s my (virtual) trip, a beach boardwalk birthday card to help celebrate the occasion:

This is a fun fold! It’s one I made for Jeanie’s Mystery Monday Stampin’ challenge this week, and it’s a new one to me! Very fun!

The card opens by slipping what looks like an envelope top out from the popped up focal piece….

….then pulling the card down to reveal the inside!

Different, yes? All of the instructions can be found on Jeanie’s site by clicking HERE. I’ll walk you through what I used:

• Pool Party Cardstock for the backing layer
• Basic White Cardstock for the folded card
• Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP for the card front and flap
• Calypso Coral and Basic White for the focal piece
• Beach Boardwalk DSP for the carousel; ferris wheel and palm trees (inside)
• Cutest Crew Stamp Set for the greetings inside and out
• Muted Palette Dots for embellishment
