Pierced Blooms Easter Card

How about another card using the same layout that I showed you on Tuesday? If you missed it, you can see it HERE. I wanted to use the sketch again, but I also wanted to try using some Pierced Blooms Dies. So I came up with this Pierced Blooms Easter card  ~

Are you as crazy as I am for these Pierced Blooms Dies? The set comes with all different sizes and shapes and the piercing is so cute and fresh. Remember when we had to use our piercing tool and mat to poke holes in the paper to achieve this look?

Here’s a look at the Die Set (It’s also bundled with the In Bloom Stamp Set).

Materials & Measurements:
  • Thick Basic White Cardstock base, 11″x 4-1/4″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″ for a top-fold card
  • Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper to fill the front, 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″
  • Basic White Cardstock strips, three at 1-1/4″x 3/4″ and three at 3-1/4″x 3/4″
  • Ice Cream Corner DSP strips, three at 1-1/4″x 3/8″ and three at 3-1/4″x 3/8″
  • Sentiment strip, Basic White 3-1/2″x 3/8″ layered over Rococo Rose 3-1/2″x 3/4″
  • Various cardstock scraps for Pierced Blooms Dies, flowers and leaves
Quick and Simple Directions:
  • Glue the DSP layer over the front of the card base.
  • Pair up the DSP and white cardstock strips and glue them together. Glue to the card front.
  • Stamp the sentiment. I used Cherry Cobbler Ink and a stamp from Arrange A Wreath.
  • Place your flowers and leaves where you wish. Attach with glue and Dimensionals.

To decorate the envelope, I cut various sized strips of Petal Pink Cardstock and Ice Cream Corner DSP and angled them across the back flap.

I’m looking forward to making many more cards with these dies! Just look at the cute samples in the January-June Mini Catalog on page 45. That’s a great place to start!

Have a good weekend! I hope you are all safe and warm. My heartfelt prayers go out to those of you in Texas and everywhere that has been blasted with unusually bitter weather.

  1. Another really cute card Karen!

  2. Super cute card Karen… Those dies truly are amazing! Maybe I might need to take a look at them a little closer… I have always enjoyed small diecut sets like that because they are perfect fillers for a card!

Your decoration on the envelope is just beautiful… What a fun way to jazz up the back of the envelope.
