Are you?

Rosanne in Pennsylvania and I, California Karen, are bringing you Valentine cards for CASEing Coast to Coast this month. It will be here soon! Do you make valentines? Do you make valentine treat boxes for your friends? For your “Gal-entines,” perhaps? I don’t do a lot, but there are a few people I like to remember on February 14th. Here is one card that someone will be receiving from me. Our theme this month is “Be My Valentine” for CC2C!

I used a mash-up of products on this card. First of all, the DSP, Fancy Flora 6″x 6″ DSP, is one of my favorites! The colors are so pretty! Here’s a closer look at this exceptional paper ~

For the sentiment and stamped hearts, I used Country Bouquet Stamp Set & Punch. For the cut hearts and oval frame, I used Framed Florets Dies.

Measurements:
  • Orchid Oasis Cardstock base, 11″x 4-1/4″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″
  • Petal Pink Cardstock layer, 5-1/8″x 3-7/8″
  • Fancy Flora DSP, 5″x 3-3/4″
  • Basic White Cardstock for sentiment, 2-3/4″x 1/2″

Step-By-Step Instructions:
  • Glue the DSP to the Petal Pink layer and use the oval heart die from Framed Florets to cut the tiny hearts through both layers.
  • Cut and stack three layers of white oval frames. Glue them together and glue to the card front.
  • Stamp Happy Valentine’s Day in Orchid Oasis ink onto the sentiment strip. Add with Dimensionals.
  • Stamp the large heart with Flirty Flamingo ink and the small heart with Orchid Oasis ink and punch both out with the Country Floral Punch. Glue them to the frame and to each other. I used one Mini Dimensional under the lower left side of the small heart.
  • Adhere the layers to the card base with Dimensionals.
  • Add 5 Iridescent Rhinestones to the front.
  • For the envelope, glue the remaining 6″x 2-1/4″ piece of DSP to the back flap and trim.

  1. Well done! Love the creative way you used elements I would never have thought of!

  2. Loved your card, so very pretty7!

  3. Karen, your card is so much fun. I love the DSP and the design. I hope you don’t mind if I CASE it. Enjoy your day!

  4. On this dark gloomy cold day, this card just brought a smile to my face. I am still dealing with a little respiratory crap from the Christmas COVID gift from in-laws so this really brightened my spirits. I think this pack of DSP is one of my all time favorites and you captured the playfulness of this sheet well! So colorful and fun. I would never have thought to use that frame set and the hearts but it all works wonderfully. Love that Orchid Oasis and the directions to showcase those little hearts. I had not thought about how you made them. Well done Karen!

    • Thanks so much, Chris! And I hope you’re feeling better soon. I know from my own experience that it does take a while to clear out!

  5. Loved the “cool” modern vibe of your card, Karen! I know the lucky person receiving it will be thrilled. Thanks for another fun trip across the states.
