Wildflower Beauty

Early Espresso and Gold Foil are so yummy together, don’t you think? This special sheet of Beauty of the Earth Specialty Designer Series Paper has both of the these colors in a wildflower/meadow scene. The sheet is designed to cut into six parts for card fronts. Or if you’re a scrapbooker, you could use 1/2 the sheet across the bottom of the page for a full 12″ of wildflower beauty.

It doesn’t need much more to make a spectacular card! I wrapped 6″ of Faux Suede Trim across the lower half and added a sentiment on Basic White and Brushed Metallic Gold.

That would have been enough, but the wildflowers in the print drew me to my Meadow Dies, so I used one to cut three layers of Early Espresso flower and stem. Then I did one more flower only using Gold Foil which I offset just enough to give us a peek of it behind the Espresso.

Simple, but so pretty!

Have a sweet Saturday! We are battling the CA smoke and tomorrow will be especially bad, they say, so I’m liable to just stay inside and make cards. Seems like a good idea to me 🙂 Take care out there!

  1. Great card. I have a pack I bought during the sale. Guess I had better open it up and CASE this card! So, pretty. Stayed in pretty much the last few days due to heat advisory. Stay safe. Are any of the fires close by? I know the smoke travels as we had the smoke last week or two ago from out west and also some from Canada that had spread south.

    • Thanks, Chris! The fires are not dangerously close, but not terribly far away either. We happen to be right in the airstream that brought the thickest smoke this weekend and our air quality is worse than I’ve ever seen it. I’ll be so glad when fire season is over! So much of our beautiful state has been destroyed 🙁

  2. Pretty card! Stay safe out there. 🙏🏽

  3. Beautiful card. I love it when the paper does most of the work! 🙂

  4. All of your cards are so pretty, but I think this one is my new favorite! Stay safe from the smoke and fire.
