What a Silly Goose!

What a silly goose! This cute, whimsical stamp set is just plain fun! I’ve created a birthday card, but there are plenty of other goose-y images and sentiments to choose.

I used some new Bright & Beautiful DSP on my card, along with another new Core Color – Azure Afternoon. I do really love our new Core Colors. Bright & Beautiful has quite a few of them in their 6″x 6″ sheets.

What I Did:
  • Azure Afternoon Cardstock base, 11″x 4-1/4″, folded at 5-1/2″ and textured on the front with a retired embossing folder
  • Basic White Cardstock, cropped with the 2nd largest Scalloped Contours Die
  • Bright & Beautiful DSP, cut to approximately 4″x 2-3/4″ plus a little shaving to fit into the scalloped die
  • Basic White square, cropped with the largest Stylish Shapes Die, and sentiment banner cropped with the Stylish Shapes Dies, roughly 2-3/4″x 5/8″
Stamp, Paper Piecing, and Coloring:
  • Stamp the goose onto the white square using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • Stamp just the balloon on a scrap of DSP from the piece used above, and fussy cut it out. Glue the DSP balloon into the stamped balloon space.
  • Color his/her hat, beak, and feet with Blends to match paper.
  • Shade the goose’s body slightly with Basic Gray Watercolor Pencil.
  • Stamp the sentiment into the cropped banner and attach both the square and banner with Dimensionals.
  • Add a colorful gem or sequin.
  • Mail some fun to a silly goose that you know!

One of my favorites. Shila, I think, had it in the Gallery and I loved it. So fun and cute. She gave you the credit.
