Violet Dreams Fun Fold

I’m loving this new direction Stampin’ Up! is going with the floral-themed Collections! Lily of the Valley, now Violets. This Suite Collection and individual components will be available July 1. It’s part of the new Online Exclusives. They are sooo pretty! I just got my Violets pack and thought I’d share this “Oh-so-easy” Violet Dreams Fun Fold.

This is not a new fun fold to many of us, but it came to mind when I was looking at the various prints in this DSP. The Hydrangea Hue and Gorgeous Grape are made for each other!

Simple Directions for this fold:

• Cut Gorgeous Grape Cardstock at 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, fold at 4-1/4″, then in your paper trimmer cut 1″ in from each side to the fold. See photo below.
• Glue the two 1″ side strips down to the lower part of the base.
• Cut and glue two Hydrangea Hue striped pieces, 4″x 3/4″, to each side.
• Cut and glue a 3-1/4″ (W)x 4″ (H) floral piece to the center front.
• Add a 3-1/4″x 4′ piece of Basic White to the center inside.
• Crop a 2-1/2″ circle from Stylish Shapes Dies using Basic White Cardstock.
• Glue a loop of Fresh Freesia Ribbon to the backside of the circle and glue the circle to the front.
• Stamp the violet with Secret Sea, color with Highland Heather, Peaceful Pine, and Darling Duckling Blends. Add with Dimensionals.
• Stamp the sentiment with Gorgeous Grape on Basic White and punch out with Three Banner Punch. Glue to the front.
• Add embellishments. I used Transluscent Dots, which have recently retired (but why?! they match perfectly!)

Cutting Diagram

Inside:

• Stamp the dots with Hydrangea Hue, stamping off on scratch paper first.
• Then stamp the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape over the dotted image.

LOVE this ribbon! It’s the perfect 1/4″ width and has a beautiful shine with stitching. Gorgeous! If you want to get the whole Suite Collection, I’ll add that to the Product List below as soon as it’s available. But here’s a sneak peek! It’s a good one! 🥰
