Textured Floral has a beautiful watercolor-like assortment of blooms and leaves. It’s a classic floral. It’s been around for awhile but I’ve rarely used it (going to have to change that!) I chose Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, and Highland Heather for my color palette.

Two things to mention: I masked off the large flower after stamping it on the Basic White panel. That way whatever I stamped around it looks like it’s behind the flower. And second, the sentiment arrow banner would have blended into the white around it, so I lightly rubbed the edges along the Melon Mambo pad. You can hardly see it, but it doesn’t get lost in the white-out! It also helps that I lifted it up on Dimensionals!

Measurements:
  • Granny Apple Green Carstock, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • G A Green 6″x 6″ DSP (Brights), 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Melon Mambo Cardstock, 4-1/8″x 3-1/8″
  • Basic White, 4″x 3″
  • G A Green Cardstock strips (2), 3-3/4″x 5/8″
  • Banner, 1-1/4″x 1-1/2″ (to the point)

It’s a bold color choice, which I gravitate to! What’s your reaction to these bright colors? I’d love to hear!

Let’s hop over to Create With Connie & Mary to see the rest of the Team’s designs.

LOVE LOVE your bold bright colors! That card would make anyone smile!!!!

  2. Beautiful card, Karen. Love your masking technique! Enjoy your day!

  3. Beautiful! How did you mask the large flower?

    • Thanks, Susan! Stamp the flower onto Masking Paper, fussy cut it out, and place the mask right over the one you stamped on the card. Then stamp the other images around it. Peel off the mask and it gives the big flower the illusion of being in front of all the rest.

  4. Lovely. I like the layout.
