Scalloped Blooms

I’m mixing old with new today on a birthday card for my sweet friend. I have so many retired supplies and like to use them as often as possible. So today you will see a mix, and I’m hoping it will inspire you to look at your older supplies with new eyes as you pair them up with some new products (hint: Scalloped Blooms!)

Here’s my card:

First the new:
  • Scalloped Blooms stamp and die bundle. Remember when scallops were the rage in card making? Well, they’re back, baby! I love that these have alternating edging – every other one has “stitching” which is fun.

Then the current but not new:
  • Florals in Bloom DSP. This pretty paper will carry me a long time. I love all the bright and cheerful prints (even though there are a lot of retired colors in it!)

FLORALS IN BLOOM 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

And last, the old (but still enjoyed):
  • Petunia Pop Classic Stampin’ Pad
  • Garden Green Baker’s Twine
  • 2024-26 In Color Resin Dots

The sentiments in Scalloped Blooms are really nice. They are paired for inside and out. Love! I glued a 1″ strip of the matching DSP at the top inside of the card. That placement is a first for me, and I really like it. It saves space for writing a note on the white down below while giving the inside a punch of color.

What’s your new favorite pick from Stampin’ Up!? What can you pair it up with that’s been in your stash awhile? Have fun mixing and matching!
