Friday Fun Fold with Excellent Eggs!

This will be my final post using Excellent Eggs this week and I decided to create a Fun Fold! This is known as a Vertical Joy Fold Card. Most of the Joy Folds I’ve made in the past open horizontally, but this opens up and down. It’s a Friday Fun Fold with Excellent Eggs! Check it out ~

I chose Lighter Than Air DSP again. I do think the colors are perfect for Easter. Then I colored two of the eggs with Blends Markers after stamping them with Memento Tuxedo Black and cropping them out with Excellent Eggs Dies.

Here are the measurements:

• Fresh Freesia Cardstock, 5-1/2″x 4-1/4″
• Basic White Cardstock, 8-1/2″x 4″, scored at 5-1/4″
• Lighter Than Air DSP (argyle print), 5″x 3-3/4″
• Fresh Freesia Cardstock, 8-1/2″x 2-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
• Lighter Than Air DSP (striped print), 3″x 3-3/4″
• Basic White (2), 4″x 2-1/4″
• Fresh Freesia for sentiment, 3″x 1″, cropped with Meadow Die
• Basic White for two eggs cropped with Excellent Eggs Dies

Steps to fold:

• Glue the 8-1/2″x 4″ White Cardstock to the Fresh Freesia back. The score line should be at the bottom and the paper should fold up.
• Glue the argyle print DSP to the top portion of the White piece. Fold it up and glue the striped DSP to the lower portion while it is closed.
• Glue the folded Fresh Freesia strip to the center of the argyle print piece. The fold should be at the top. Then glue the two white pieces into the inside and outside of the Freesia fold.
• To close the card, first fold the white Cardstock piece up, then the Freesia Cardstock piece down over it.
• To decorate, first stamp the sentiment from Excellent Eggs in Versamark and heat emboss it with white embossing powder. Attach it toward the bottom with Dimensionals. Color the stamped & cropped Easter Eggs with Blends. Glue the right one down, then overlap the left one and adhere with Dimensionals.
• Add a touch of sparkle with three Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems.
