Excellent Eggs (All Week!)

This week I am featuring the stamp & die bundle called Excellent Eggs. This is a super sweet bundle for Easter or Spring. I’ll show you a variety of ways to use it this week. For my first card, I’m showing you a trio of pastel eggs with some easy paper piecing.

Step by Step:

• Cut a piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock to 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″ and fold at 4-1/4″.
• Glue a 5″x 3-3/4″ piece of Lighter Than Air DSP to the center of the card base.
• Crop three eggs from Excellent Eggs Dies in Balmy Blue, Lemon Lolly, and Bubble Bath. Cut three more from Basic White Cardstock.
  • Remove the 3 cut-out pieces in the decorations of each egg, then turn the eggs over to work from the back. Take the decorated pieces out of the white eggs and pop them into place inside the colored eggs. Secure to the back with some Scotch Tape. This is the easiest paper piecing you’ll ever do!
• Stamp the greeting onto Balmy Blue Cardstock with Versamark Ink, sprinkle white embossing powder over the ink, then set with a Heat Tool until all the powder is melted and it looks shiny. Crop it out with the 2-3/8″x 1″ Deckled Rectangle Die.
• Arrange the eggs and glue them down. Add Dimensionals to the back of the sentiment piece and adhere overlapping the eggs a little.
• Stamp the cute little bunny with Gray Granite ink and crop. Adhere it with glue over the sentiment piece, then support his head with a Mini Dimensional.
• Tie a bow with Lemon Lolly Sheer Ribbon and attach with a Glue Dot.
• Add three Adhesive-backed Rainbow Dots.
