Wild Bunch

Hello! I hope you all are enjoying a restful summer! We have a sketch challenge this week at Create with Stamping Friends. I decided to use the adorable new stamp set that is our Product of the Month for June: Wild Bunch!

Here’s our sketch:

And here’s my card:

Isn’t that cuddly koala just so cute?! Somehow, “Sending you hugs” seemed perfect when paired with him.

Here’s my recipe:
  • Mossy Meadow Cardstock base, 11″x 4-1/4″, folded at 5-1/2″
  • Moonlit Flora DSP, 5-1/4″x 4″ and 3-1/4″x 1/2″ strip for sentiment
  • Melon Mambo Cardstock, embossed, 4″x 2″
  • Basic White Cardstock
    • Deckled Circles Dies, 2-1/2″ circle
    • Inside panel, 5-1/4″x 4″
    • Scrap to stamp koala
      • Stamp him with black ink and color with Gray Granite and Barely Blush Blends
  • Moonlit Flora DSP for inside, 4″x 3/4″
  • Dew Drops embellishments

I also brushed a little green on the white circle for a “hint” of color behind the koala, which I popped up with Dimensionals. And to make the sentiment stand out a little darker, I stamped over the black with Versamark and heat embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder.

Oh Karen, I missed this post. So cute! I missed ordering the set but later I saw it was available in French with the same critters but just French sentiments. I might have to cave and see if it is available. I love the DSP you used.
