Pop Up Petals Pop-Up Card

When I saw that Pop Up Petals was placed on the Last Chance List, I realized I hadn’t even tried the pop-up feature of this set! Oh no! So now I have, and I’m wondering what took me so long?! Here’s a Pop Up Petals Pop Up card. This is a fun feature, but there are a few tricks involved.

Here’s the front of my card:

OK, pretty ordinary, right? But the fun is in the inside.

So cute! Here is an angled look ~

Make it:
  • Pumpkin Pie Cardstock base, 4-1/4″x 11″, folded at 5-1/2″
  • Lemon Lolly layer, 5-1/8″x 3-7/8″
  • Florals in Bloom DSP, Postage Stamp Die, 5″x 3-3/4″
  • Lemon Lolly circle, Spotlight on Nature Die, 2-3/4″
  • Pumpkin Pie circle, 2-3/8″
  • Basic White circle, Stylish Shapes Die, 2-1/8″
  • Sentiment from Pop Up Petals stamped with Pumpkin Pie
  • Butterfly also from Pop Up Petals, stamped in black and colored with Blends
  • Linen Thread
Inside:
  • Basic White Cardstock, 10-3/4″x 4″, scored and folded at 5-3/8″
  • Flower Pot stamped in Granny Apple Green and cropped with matching die
  • Flowers stamped in black, Pumpkin Pie, and Lemon Lolly; leaves colored with GA Green Blends
  • Sentiment and butterfly same as front
  • Linen Thread

I recommend using Thick Basic White for the flowers and pot on the inside to keep them more sturdy.

When you adhere the white to the inside, nudge the score lines up close together and make sure the card closes easily. Glue one side down before doing the other side. Also – your Bone Folder is your friend here!

Make sure your inside greeting is placed high enough that when you open the card, the pop-up isn’t hiding the sentiment! 😃

See another card I made using this set (without the pop-up feature) by clicking HERE.

I think this pop-up feature would be adorable for a child’s card, too. The bundle is still the cheapest way to buy this set. The dies have been marked down, but the stamp set hasn’t. The bundle is still cheaper than buying them separately! Get it before it’s gone!!
