Dreaming of retirement? My friend was, and now she has! This card will help her get into a relaxed state of mind as she transitions into retirement! I think a trip to a tropical island would be just the ticket!
For my card, I used Tropical Escape 6″ x 6″ DSP from Stampin’ Up! Its bright colors, palm fronds, and tropical flowers are perfect for such an occasion.

The Adirondack chair and drink glass are from Seasonal Layers Framelits Dies. I cropped the chair out with Glossy White Cardstock and used Mini Dimensionals to adhere it to the card. The umbrella is part of Umbrella Weather Framelits Dies. This set has retired but is still for sale in the Clearance Rack. I took the liberty to use a sentiment that I have from another company, but Celebrate You from Stampin’ Up! is a great alternative.
On the inside I used a sentiment and umbrella image from two retired sets, Milestone Moments and Mixed Drinks. There are some stamp sets that I will always keep for little stamps that have no new replacements, you know? Until we get newer, cuter ones, I’m sticking with my good ol’ favorites!

Nothing says relax like a chair and drink under an umbrella. You’ve added all the perfect little details…great card!
This is so flipping cute with the background paper and the chair etc. I love it. I am going to have to do something since I have that background paper and the chair. I think a little cupcake might be cute for a birthday card maybe for the right person. The umbrella is a nice and fun touch but I don’t think I have any thing like that. Oh well. This would have made a great card for anybody who was fed up with winter too. Great job as always!!!
