Simply Elegant Card

I’ve got a Simply Elegant card to share with you today. This could serve as a Get Well, Sympathy, or Thinking of You card. It was hard not to use the beautiful metallic side of this DSP, but I think I love these leaves just as much!

Simple Card Recipe:
  • Basic Black Cardstock base: 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
  • Very Vanilla Cardstock layer: Largest Scalloped Contours Die, approx 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Simply Elegant DSP layer: 2nd largest Scalloped Contours Die, approx 4-1/2″x 3-1/4″
  • Silver Foil and Very Vanilla Cardstock: Layering Circles Dies, 1-5/8″ and 1-3/8″
  • Quiet Meadow Stamp Set for sentiment in Basic Gray
  • Vanilla Satin Ribbon
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Details:

I glued the two layers to the card base. Then I looped the ribbon and secured it with Dimensionals. I added a few more Dimensionals under the circle dies to place over the ribbon.

This was a simple build and went together quickly, but the paper gives it such an elegant look. The scalloped dies add enough detail that I thought the simple design was sufficient. I hope you agree!

I added another strip of the DSP to the envelope flap. To do this, I always start with a 2-1/2″x 6″ piece, glue it down with a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue, then trim the excess off from the inside.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have pies to bake! 🙂
