I learned this fun new “round ‘n round” technique from Linda Heller, and couldn’t wait to try it out! I cased her circle piece and added it to my own color blocking design. Here’s my card ~
This technique uses the Stamparatus. If you don’t have one yet, I encourage you to make that purchase. It is terrific for clean, crisp, perfectly placed stamping. But it is great for so much more, such as this round ‘n round technique!
To create this round “wreath” image I used one small stamp from the new stamp set called Accented Blooms. This is another must have, in my opinion. I’ll be sharing more projects that I’ve made using this beautiful stamp set soon.
I’ll be featuring this technique in my July Newsletter. If you would like a copy sent to your email inbox, please sign up for it HERE. It’s my free monthly publication called Karen’s Stampin’ News, with Stampin’ Up! updates, tips, and inspiration for you along with occasional tutorials.
The layout for my card is simple but fun. Begin with a 4-1/4″ x 8-3/4″ piece of Night of Navy cardstock. Score it at 5-1/2″. From one piece of Pineapple Punch DSP, cut one piece at 3″ x 4″ and another piece at 2″ x 2-1/2″. Take a 2″ strip of Pineapple Punch cardstock and emboss it with the Petal Burst Embossing Folder. Cut it down to 2″ x 1-3/8″ for the lower right corner. Place and glue as shown. Cut a piece of Whisper White at 3″ x 4″ to go on the inside, under the front flap.
When you glue the circle piece down in the center of the front, glue only the left side of the circle, so your card will open! (I know that sounds obvious, but accidents happen!) Here is what the inside looks like ~

Terrific card, Karen…I’m with Nancy and can’t wait for the tutorial!
Wow this is so pretty Karen! I like the fold too. I’ll be adding this one to my file. Love the wreath. I can’t wait to learn how to do it.
Happy Monday.
