Pansy Petals with a Pink Pansy

Someone asked me last week, “Will you be making more cards with the pretty Pansy paper?” And I enthusiastically said, “Yes!” I love this paper and will be making several different cards with it. Today I have Pansy Petals with a pink pansy.

Pink with that soft green has always been a favorite of mine. I even had those colors in my wedding! So I am thrilled that Stampin’ Up! has created a Designer Series Paper with these two colors so prominently displayed.

Card Details

Again, I’ve kept it pretty simple to let the DSP have center-stage.

  • Card base of Evening Evergreen, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
  • Pansy Petals DSP, 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Evening Evergreen Cardstock, 3-3/4″x 2-3/4″
  • Basic White Cardstock, 3-1/2″x 2-1/2″, embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder
  • Pansy Petals DSP strip, 2-1/2″x 1/2″
  • Basic White sentiment strip, 1-5/8″x 3/8″, sentiment stamped with Evening Evergreen ink and Pansy Patch Stamp Set
  • Pansy Petals flowers and leaves cut from the DSP with the Pansy Dies

With a Blending Brush, I lightly colored the embossed white panel with Polished Pink. I adhered the leaves with glue, the pansies with Dimensionals, and the sentiment with glue. You may notice that the sentiment is shorter than the stamp! I masked off half of the sentiment with tape before stamping. I lifted the whole center panel up slightly with a piece of craft foam cut just a bit smaller than the panel.

A Tiny Bling

I gave the final touch of bling with a tiny Polished Pink Loose Flower Flourishes embellishment. Cute, isn’t it? I adhered it with the smallest drop of Fine Tip Glue Pen.

No Naked Envelopes!

I added some matching DSP to the back flap of the envelope. I like to adhere the top strip down with Tear & Tape for a good strong hold, then Multipurpose Liquid Glue for the rest of the paper.
