Here’s a pretty Hand-Penned Mother’s Day Card for my daughter-in-law. In addition to this beautiful Designer Series Paper, I used the Basic Borders Dies, a sentiment from Quite Curvy, and one from Welcoming Window on the inside.
Card Details
- Highland Heather card base, 11″x 4-1/4″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″ for a top-folding card
- Fresh Freesia layer, 5-1/4″x 4″
- Hand-Penned DSP, 3-3/4″x 4″, the bottom cropped with a Basic Borders Die
- Fresh Freesia 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon
- Sentiment from Quite Curvy stamped with Highland Heather ink
- In Color Jewels, Fresh Freesia
I glued the DSP to the Freesia layer, wrapped the ribbon around and tied it in a bow. Next I stamped the sentiment along the bottom, then glued everything to the card base. I added three jewels, then stamped the inside.
The Mother’s Day sentiment and floral stamps are from Welcoming Window. I used Highland Heather for the sentiment and Soft Succulent with Fresh Freesia for the floral. After making the card I happen to notice that our backyard has a lot of Fresh Freesia in it! Both the lantana and the geraniums are loaded with this pretty purple!
