Marmaduke for Playful Pets

Marmaduke loves to play ball! It makes his day so happy when you throw the ball for him! The thing that makes me happy is this Designer Series Paper! In fact, in case you haven’t figured this out about me, I love all of the designer papers from Stampin’ Up! Dare I say it’s my favorite thing about SU? This one is called Playful Pets.

Pay attention to the layout of the card, because it is from a sketch challenge in Sunday Stamps this week. I’m going to be using the same sketch layout throughout the week, with different Designer Series Papers, and I’d like you to tell me your favorite at the end of the week.

To create this card, I’ve used four of the sheets from Playful Pets for the layers and the dog. My sentiment is from Country Home.

We owned a gorgeous, sweet Chocolate Lab for 11 years. His tennis ball was always in his mouth or by his side! He would run for hours as long as we could keep throwing it to him!

Here’s the inside. A skinny strip of the DSP at the bottom is all I need!

Marmaduke was not too happy about me putting a bow on him, but he allowed it for just this one picture!

A Sketch Challenge

Here is the sketch that I’ll be working with this week. You can find it at sundaystamps.blogspot.com.

Head over and take a peek at all of the entries. I think it will be very diverse and a lot of fun! Check back with me throughout this week. I’m going to try to post as many different cards using this sketch as I can manage. I think it might be fun to see all the different ways you can use one sketch idea to stretch your cardmaking imagination (and mine!)

  1. What a fun card using Marmaduke at the center stage! Your card makes me smile and I am sure who ever you send it to- will too. Thanks so much for playing along with this weeks challenge at Sunday Stamps!

  2. This card is my absolute favorite from the challenge. It really was a hard choice between this one and the gnome but, the simplicity of the card speaks to me. Thanks for all the great ideas!

  3. So fun, Karen – I just recently took the plunge on fussy cutting this DSP, too, and it is SO worth it! Great sentiment for this little scene, too! Thanks so much for playing at Sunday Stamps!

  4. Adorable and so fun! Love that layout! Thanks for making me smile!!!

  5. What a great job of fussy cutting the dog. Rounded areas are challenging for me. Love your idea to use same layout for a week. Nothing as precious and non-judgmental as the love of a dog. They accept whatever we choose to give them in return.

    Pawsitively too cute!

  7. Great card. Looking forward to the week of one layout. 🙂
