Lovely Florals

I made this card for a color challenge coming up in Create with Stamping Friends but when I looked for it in the online store I found out that it is no longer available! Huh! That’s disappointing. I can’t use it for CSF, but I’m going to share it with you anyway because you may still have this stamp set and want to continue using it!

The set is Lovely Florals. I used very few supplies other than the stamp set. Framed with a thick white border, this bloom is the star of the show.

Here’s my card:

And here are the details:

• Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
• Berry Burst Cardstock layer, 3-5/8″x 4-7/8″
• Garden Green Cardstock layer, 3-3/8″x 4-5/8″
• Basic White Cardstock, 3-1/4″x 4-1/2″ (layer) and 2-1/4″x 3/4″ (sentiment strip)

Stamping & Coloring:

• Stamp the grid with Golden Glow ink, stamped off once, on the left side of the white layer.
• Stamp the flower image with black ink slightly right of center, partially over the grid.
  • Color the flower with Berry Burst Blends, the leaves with Granny Apple Green Blends, and the center of the flower with Golden Glow Blends.
  • Use Wink of Stella in the center and around the petals of the flower.
  • (Tip) To make the image stand out even better, re-stamp the outline image of the flower/leaves with black again!)
• Stamp the sentiment with black ink. Add with Dimensionals.
• Tie a double bow with white Baker’s Twine (YAY! It is finally back in stock!) and add with a rolled up Mini Glue Dot.
• Last, add three Garden Epoxy Dots in the Berry Burst color.
