Scenic Coast Craft Class

Stampin’ Up! is offering Craft Classes (as you probably know), but I’m here to give them a plug! I took the Scenic Coast class and was very impressed with the quality of the class! The women who presented were thorough, easy to follow, and lots of fun. I finished the cards, which I will share here, and immediately purchased their next class using Pretty Poinsettia. I’m waiting to be approved for the Facebook log in so I can dive in.

My Scenic Coast Cards:

This was the first card we made. I didn’t have all the materials they suggested, but I just substituted things I did have, and I think it turned out great! Each card in the class had a different technique or several techniques, and the demonstrators did a great job of teaching us how to do them. This one included two-step stamping and stamping off.

This card is my favorite, which surprised me, as I am not the vintage, collage-y style of stamper. But it was different for me and took me out of my comfort zone, which was good! Paper-tearing, roughing up the edges, splattering, and water coloring were some of the techniques. The inside is fun, too ~

Card #3 is a fun fold – a different one from any I’ve made before. It included water color, using vellum, and more.

And the last card was an easy, playful card that we dotted all over, brushed color in the center and covered it with the vellum. We learned a lot about color theory – i.e. complimentary colors, etc.

It was a fun class! I recommend purchasing one and giving it a try! There are currently 5 classes to choose from. Click HERE to see the selection. You will receive an email in about 3 days, instructing you on how to access the class through Facebook, and a list of all the materials they recommend. They even provide a video on prepping your materials ahead of watching the class, so you will be all ready to craft along with the instructors. The nice thing about this format is you can pause it when you need to catch up, and rewind if you need to see something again.

Once you’ve purchased a class, it is available for you to watch whenever you are ready and you can rewatch at any time.
