Welcome to the Pals June, 2018 Blog Hop. This month we’re going to Pick a “B”. Projects for Babies, Birthdays or Brides, that is. Be on the look out for creations using new products from Stampin’ Up!
You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
A big trend for weddings the past couple of years has been the rustic elegant look. It’s a theme that I love and would incorporate into my wedding if I could go back 43 years! There is a place up the road called The Flower Farm. They have a big barn that serves as a wedding venue and it is rustic elegance at its best. I obviously can’t turn back the clock, but after making my card I realized that I used the very same colors that I had in my outdoor wedding so many years ago, the soft pink and light green!
I guess my tastes haven’t changed much over the years! Or maybe I’ve just gone full circle! Anyway… About my card~
My wreath was made with two layers of Swirly Scribbles Thinlits and Nature’s Poem DSP. I added tiny Petal Pink flowers, cropped from Bouquet Bunch Thinlits. I cut some of them apart to scatter them around. I did the same with a piece of Copper Foil, then added two copper sprigs from Flourish Thinlits. The ribbon is the new Petal Pink with copper threads and a length of Copper Trim twisted and glued under the bow. I added some tiny Artisan pearls to a few of the flowers. “Celebrate” can be found in the Beautiful You stamp set.
On the inside, I used two stamps from Better Together. I added a tiny copper foil heart over the stamped heart and glued a tiny pink pearl in the middle of it.
I glued the wreath down to a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that was run through the Big Shot with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder. That layer is adhered to the base card of Crumb Cake, using Dimensionals to lift it up.
On the envelope, I glued a 1/4″ strip of Petal Pink cardstock, a 1/8″ strip of Copper Foil, and filled in the rest with the matching DSP.
My Product List will be at the bottom of this post and each item is linked to my online store for easy shopping. Please use my Host Code #P4C3AZWW when ordering less than $150.
