Wedding Week at Stamping Habit

Good Monday morning to you! I’ve decided to create wedding cards this week. June is the season for weddings and I’m going to need a few cards. Here is my first one ~

I have been into the “less is more” mood lately, and this card reflects that. Simple, but with just enough detail to make it interesting!

I started with a base card of Crumb Cake cardstock and built from there. I cut Rich Razzleberry cardstock to 3-3/4″ x 5″ and embossed the top half with the beautiful Lovely Floral Embossing Folder.

Then I added the vertical stripe down the left side: Whisper White cardstock measuring 1″x 5″ and Share What You Love Designer Series Paper measuring 3/4″ x 5″.

I glued a Pearlized Doily on the bottom right corner and cropped out a Whisper White circle using a Stitched Shapes circle framelit, to which I stamped the sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet in Rich Razzleberry ink.

The only thing left is the envelope! As you can see I embellished the envelope with the same sized stripe down the left side using Razzleberry cardstock with the matching DSP.

Super easy, super quick, but that pearlized paper and the dry embossing make this a wedding worthy card. Just enough shine and texture to make it special.

I hope you like it! Come back on Wednesday to see another card I’ve made. It will be the Pals Blog Hop Day for June. We are featuring cards that begin with “B” ~ Birthday, Baby, and (you guessed it!) Bride! It should be a fun Hop with a lot of talented crafters showing off their creations. Don’t miss it!

Insider Information!

Stampin’ Up! just notified us that there will be a Designer Series Paper special in July! It’s their Buy Three, Get One Free promotion. I’m always excited about this one as you all know how I feel about the beautiful paper the company has to offer. Each selection is $11.00, so if you buy any three selections, you’ll get to pick a fourth one FREE! That’s a 25% discount – Wow! Start planning ahead. Look through the catalog, and better yet, look at cards and projects that bloggers are using. The paper is always more impressive in real use than in the catalogs. Pick your favorite four and on July 1st, place your order 🙂

I’ll be posting more about this as July approaches.

Thanks for visiting today! Have a blessed day! See you Wednesday ~
