A Gingham Get Well

I have a sweet little gingham get well card for a friend of mine who recently had knee replacement surgery. A few of us are helping her out with some meals, and I always like to include a card with my dinner delivery! Don’t we all?!

I was inspired by the current Global Design Project challenge for this card design. This week is “CASE the Designer” who happens to be Brian King. Here is his card and the challenge poster:

You can see I followed it quite closely! I love his clean and simple design. Like Brian, I used Gingham Gala DSP. I chose the Highland Heather color and layered it with Gorgeous Grape. My flower stamp is from Love What You Do (and hurray! it is carrying over to the new catalog!) Click HERE to see the same stamp with a different look.

I stamped everything with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the flowers with both Light and Dark Highland Heather Blends. Also, I used the Blend brush tip to draw around the edge of my sentiment piece, just to make it stand out a little bit.

The ribbon is Gorgeous Grape Mini Striped, and the embellishments are Glitter Enamel Dots. Both items will be carried over to the new catalog.

I just found out the the Gingham Gala DSP has sold out, I’m sorry to say. If you didn’t purchase it while it was available, I would recommend the Highland Heather 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper in the Subtles pack. Both the 2018 and the 2019 catalogs have these DSP packs for all the color collections. The new ones will have different patterns on them, including a gingham, and either would be great.

Paper Pumpkin

Hugs from Shelli, the May Paper Pumpkin Kit, will be available to order through May 10. Don’t miss out on this month’s kit! It looks like a beautiful card kit, inspired by Stampin’ Up’s own Shelli Gardner. Order yours HERE.

Taking a Break

This may not be the smartest time to take a stamping break, with all the new and exciting products coming out, but I will be away from my studio and unable to play with my lovely new things! However, I will be posting about updates and information as it comes in, and when I return I will be sharing all kinds of new fun things with you. So stay tuned!
