Woven Threads Note Cards

Woven Threads Designer Series Paper is one of the 12 packs in my DSP Shares. It shows off all of the new In Colors, so I made a note card set with one in each color! Each card is the same, with the exception of the paper choice and color scheme.

Terracotta Tile

This pretty orange color is somewhere between Calypso Coral and Cajun Craze. I added a 1/2″ strip of Woven Threads DSP to the left side. Then I stamped a strip of texture with a stamp from Woven Heirlooms about 1/3″ from the DSP. After that I glued a strip of the In Color 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon with Tear & Tape, and cut the ends even with the paper.

Rococo Rose

This Rococo Rose reminds me of the retired Sweet Sugarplum. It’s that dusty pink that we haven’t seen in a while. After assembling the card, I stamped a cropped Stitched Nested Label Die (bundles with Free As A Bird stamp set for 10% discount) with two stamps from Woven Heirlooms. The texture stamp is the same as on the card base, stamped without re-inking for a light background. Then I stamped the greeting with full strength Rococo Rose.

Purple Posy

Purple Posy is a light lilac color that I love! The ink pad and ink refill bottles with this color are not available yet due to manufacturing problems, so I substituted Highland Heather ink and I love the two together! They pair so well. Gorgeous Grape is one step darker again and the three together are purplicious!

Seaside Spray

Seaside Spray is a lovely light blue that we’ve been lacking in our color selections ever since Marina Mist left our catalog. I am going to be reaching for this one often!

Pretty Peacock

Last is Pretty Peacock. This color will help me not to miss Tranquil Tide so much! It is a beautiful teal blue.

Not to forget the embellishments, I added three Metallic Pearls to each card, some in silver and some in gold.

The Woven Heirloom stamp set is a cling set, new to this catalog beginning June 4. The script is just beautiful and looks like you wrote the words with a pen and ink – a little scratchy, imperfect, and Vintage looking. Here’s a look at the whole set:

I especially like the sympathy sentiment. It will be available to the public on Tuesday when the catalog goes live.
