I love the Witty-cisms Stamp Set for its clever sentiments and small whimsical images! This one with the saguaro cactus is one of my favorites.
My parents retired to the Arizona desert after spending a number of years in snowy Michigan. They had a saguaro in their yard that threw out these startlingly beautiful blooms each spring. When I made this simple card, I knew I had to add a purple Frosted Flower Embellishment to the cactus! I seem to remember them being a bright red, but here I’ve taken a bit of artistic license, lol!
Here is a look at the whole set. It was inspired by Million Sales Achiever Lisa Fast. Well done, Lisa! I’m enjoying your set berry much!
Easy directions and measurements:
- Whisper White Notecards & Envelopes
- Regals 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper – Old Olive – 4-1/2″ x 3″
- Gorgeous Grape Cardstock – 2-1/8″ square
- Whisper White Cardstock, cut with a Stitched Shapes square – 1-1/2″
- Stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and color with Light and Dark Old Olive Blends
- Add a purple Frosted Flower Embellishment.
- Attach the white square with Dimensionals.
Most of these images work really well on 3″x 3″ square gift enclosure cards. I also made a card for Baby using this stamp set that you can view here.

Perfect card. I would not have know the colors of their flowers anyway! One would think I would have this set but I don’t. Now, if there were blueberries on the one stamp instead of a strawberry, I would get it in case I do the blueberry cards like last year. Anyway, fun card.
