I’ve been playing with one of my new sets from the 2018 Holiday Catalog called Wishing You Well…
On my first walk through the new catalog, I stopped at page 35 and knew this set was coming to Calypte Lane. That bow! This is a DistINKtive Stamp, which means the rubber is carved in such a way to make the images look 3D. Isn’t it beautiful?
Tip: I found that the darker colors really make this bow stand out. For example, I stamped it with Mint Macaron and thought “OK” then I tried the Tranquil Tide and thought “OK, Wow!” So I recommend using the darker shades with this stamp.
Paper and Measurements:
- Tranquil Tide – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
- Whisper White – 2-5/8″ x 5-3/8″
- Nature’s Poem DSP – 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″
- Tranquil Tide – 3″ square
- Whisper White – 2-3/4″ square and 3/8″ x 2″ for sentiment banner
I stamped the wreath with Crumb Cake, the bow and sentiment with Tranquil Tide. I added a tiny touch of sparkle in the wreath with Mercury Stickles (non-SU) and added a flag of Tranquil Tide ribbon off to the left side. This is last year’s TT ribbon, but the current Mini Ruffled Ribbon in Tranquil Tide would look nice here, too.
For the inside, I used Crumb Cake and stamped off twice before putting ink to paper for a very light background image. The sentiment in Tranquil Tide shows nicely over this muted, faint wheat bouquet image.

I have to have this stamp set. I cannot tie bows so this is a wonderful way to add a bow to a card. Thank you for sharing this beautiful card.

I was on the fence about the stamp set and also the paper but I think you convinced me. I know I would use the set a bunch since I send a lot of thinking of you or just a note cards.
