Looking for a masculine birthday card idea? Look no further than Well Suited for a birthday card for your favorite guy. This handsome designer series paper is perfect for a masculine card!
Here is a look at the Well Suited Designer Series Paper, part of the Well Suited Suite.
The paper I’ve used has two sides that look great together. The same cut on two identical pieces of DSP gives you two cards with different looks. I’m not sure which I like better. Maybe you could share your opinion on that! I would love to hear! Here is the second one I made with the same paper:
Start with a base of Basic Gray Cardstock, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, score and fold it at 4-1/4″.
Next, cut a piece of Well Suited (pinstripe) DSP to 5-1/4″x 4″, then cut it in half as follows. On the left side measure down about 2-1/4″ and make a small mark. On the right side, measure down about 4″ and make a small mark. These measurements don’t have to be perfect! With your Paper Trimmer, line up the two marks along the cutting groove, then cut from one mark to the other.
Do the exact same cuts on a second piece of matching DSP with the multicolored stripe side up. Use the top of one with the bottom of the other for one card, and the opposite for the other card. Tape the two pieces together on the back for a temporary hold.
Cut and glue a 1/8″ strip of Pacific Point Cardstock, about 5″ long, along the seam of the two papers. Trim the ends to match the DSP sides. Now glue the entire piece to the base of the card.
Label Me Big and Bold
A masculine card should have a big, bold sentiment, don’t you think? This one from Happiest of Birthdays nearly fills the whole card! I stamped it with Versamark Ink on a Basic Black Cardstock label and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. For the white label, I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. On the white label I put three Matte Black Dots. On the black label I put three blue rhinestones.
Two looks to choose from! Make one or both! Which do you prefer?
Have a great day and a great week ahead ~

I think I like the stripes on the top with the sentiment piece in white stamped on black. But then, ask me again this afternoon and I may change my mind. Both are really great cards. I have that set but have not used that stamp. I best get on it and CASE your fun card.
I like the one with the gray on top and the black piece for sentiment
