Velvet Meadow Fun Fold

It’s been a bit since I’ve been able to participate with Jeanie on her Mystery Stampin’ challenges! But I was able to play this week, and I think you’ll want to try this card too!

It’s a z-fold on the inside, and the hole in the front pulls away from the rest. (I don’t know if that made sense, but pictures always help!)

The decorative circle is attached to the z-fold on the inside. When you open the card, it leaves a hole in the front.

Here’s another:

Now it makes sense, right?

To make this fun fold, follow Jeanie’s steps by clicking HERE.

And here’s the breakdown of what I used on this card:
  • Peaceful Pine Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
  • On the front ~ Velvet Meadow Specialty Cardstock (the backside of one, with the pale green flowers on it), 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Peaceful Pine Cardstock for the banner, 2-1/4″x 1/2″, cropped with a Stylish Shapes die
  • For the center circle I also used Velvet Meadow, the bright floral pattern
Extra Details:
  • Heat emboss “have a” from Sweet Blooms (Last Chance and marked way down!) with Versamark ink and white embossing powder.
  • Stamp “lovely day” from Lovely Florals directly onto the DSP front with Peaceful Pine ink. Stamp it twice for a darker image. Clean your stamp and stamp again with Versamark ink (a stamp positioning tool is vital!) Coat with clear embossing powder and heat set for a slightly raised and shiny greeting.
  • Finish with a white Baker’s Twine bow and 2 Peaceful Pine butterflies from 2026-28 In Color Butterflies.
  • Cover the back flap of a Medium White Envelope with a 2-1/4″x 6″ piece of Peaceful Pine Painted Patterns.
Inside:
  • Stamp “Happy Birthday” from Rolling Waves using Peaceful Pine ink. If you close your card before you stamp, you’ll get it right in the center of the circle which looks nice if the card is partially opened.

Velvet Meadow is such a gorgeous paper! It has white flocking on one side of each sheet. It’s raised and soft, like velvet! Here’s a look at that pack of paper ~
