Timeless Arrangements (for CCMC786)

Today is a color challenge for CCMC. We are playing with Lost Lagoon, Soft Sea Foam, and Berry Burst. Sound like a floral to me! So I went with Timeless Arrangements and created a pretty floral centerpiece for my card.

Here’s my card:

To add a bit of visual interest, I scored 3 lines on the top and bottom of my Lost Lagoon layer. It’s a great way to add a little sumthin’ without making the card too busy.

I thought I’d give you a little peek behind the scenes! These die cuts stack on top of each other, then are glued to the top and bottom of the label. But that leaves the center of the label a bit unstable, so I cut three strips of the same cardstock, stacked and glue them together and to the center of the label. Now it’s strong and secure. I chose to elevate it a bit with Dimensionals, but it could be glued down flat as well. I thought about using white cardstock to put in the center, but I wanted the height to match the die cuts and white is thinner than the colored cardstock. No problem, the colors did not show through!
