Thinking of You With All My Heart

“Thinking of you with all my heart” is one of the perfect sentiment stamps that you’ll find in Peaceful Moments Stamp Set. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again…I love the mix of fonts in this stamp set! For this card, I’ve used a floral stamp from Painted Poppies and outlined it with a heart die from Stitched Be Mine Dies. This can serve as a Valentine or just a Thinking of You card.

I stamped the floral image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored in the tiny flowers with a mix of Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight, and Blackberry Bliss Blends.

I taped the 3-3/4″x 4-1/4″ piece of Whisper White behind the open heart, then glued it to a 5-1/4″x 4″ piece of Basic Black cardstock. My recommendation for adhesive when creating such a skinny layer is Multipurpose Liquid Glue. It’s not easy lining the layers up perfectly with such a skinny layer. The liquid glue gives you time to wiggle it into place before it dries hard.

My “Rule of Three” came into play when deciding on colors. Black layer, black flower stems, black sentiment strip. I heat embossed white on black then punched a flag on the left side of the strip. White card base, white inside the heart, white lettering. I even picked three colors for the flowers.

It’s not easy to see, but I did add a touch of sparkle to the centers of the flowers with Stickles Glitter Glue (non-SU). It’s subtle but catches the light in a pretty way!
