Tags For Sale

I’m getting ready for a Christmas craft fair on December 1st. One of my best selling items last year was gift tags. So I am cranking out the tags and I thought I’d show you a few…

This is one of the sets of four that I’m putting together. I’ve used the stamp set called Nothing Sweeter with the holiday DSP called Festive Farmhouse. Here is a second set…

This stamp set comes bundled with Sweetly Stitched Framelits Dies. I stamped, cropped, and glued the “cookie” shapes to a 2″ punched circle. The tags are 2″x 6″, scored at 1-1/2″, and punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. I want to credit Connie Babbert with this tag design. The bottom drops down to reveal the To and From for the gift! Here’s a closer look…

When you add the circle to the tag with Dimensionals, it leaves a little lip to hold the tag closed. Open it up and you get…

Isn’t that cute?!!! The main piece of DSP is 2″x 4-1/2″, glued above the score line. Then glue a coordinating piece of DSP measuring 2″ x 1″ at the very top, overlapping the other DSP. Punch through all three layers with the Tag Topper Punch. Add ribbon and some blingy embellishments, and you have a cute, handmade tag.

Here is one more close up of a tag with the gift stamp…

I stamped the gift with Real Red, outlined with Cherry Cobbler, and the tiny snowflake adds the bling.

This set is especially cute with homemade bakery treat gifts. There is a stamp that says, “Baked with Love” that is perfect for adding to that plate of cookies for your neighbors!

  1. I love these tags as well as the ones you did at the later date. Ha Ha! Figure that one out? Just kidding! I saw your later post first, then moved to this, your first post. Could you send me Connie Babbert blog address so I can sign up for her blog? Thank you very much, for all your blog postings and being there when someone needs you!

  2. Oh darn it, I have been on the fence about this set and now I know I want them. I think the dies would be a benefit since they add the little stitching touches etc. I used to make little felt stitched tags so this just seems perfect for me. OK you convinced me. I had missed these on Connie’s blog so I need to go see what she did. I love the look of flannel with them! I don’t have a lot of packages to wrap but I think these would be fun to make and give a set to – just because I can! These are just so darn cute!!!!!

  3. All very cute Karen!

  4. Good Morning Karen, I love these gift tags. I barely write with a magic marker on my gifts. My family is so used to this by now. I don’t mark them to the very last minute so they do not know who they are for and cannot peek. You are never too old to peek.
    Have a blessed day.
    🙂

  5. Adorable! Tags just bring a smile to my face as they just are the perfect finishing touch to a package…..
