I’ve made a sympathy card with small blooms today ~ a flower lei for a family member that lived near us in Hawaii for a number of years. I think this is a fitting card for the memory of a beautiful lady!
To make this card, I used the Small Blooms Punch in a rainbow variety of colors. To add a little depth to the flowers, I stamped each one with a matching color with the retired Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Thoughtful Blooms.
I stamped the sympathy sentiment from Peaceful Moments in the center of a 5-1/4″x 4″ panel of Whisper White, then ran it through the Big Shot with Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder.
To make sure my flowers were placed in a perfect circle, I traced around a circle die. It makes the placement so easy! I adhered the top, bottom, right, and left blooms first with Mini Dimensionals. Then I filled in with the remaining eight blooms. Each flower gets a tiny rhinestone center.
The textured panel is elevated just a bit on fun foam, glued to a base of Thick Whisper White. This is a special card for my cousin, so I’ll be sending it in a protected envelope.
Aloha Menemene,
