Sunflower Fields Slimline Card (for CSF 941)

We have a slimline card sketch this week at Create with Stamping Friends! I rarely think about making slimline cards, but they are wonderful for the extra room inside to sign. I’ve made a Sunflower Fields slimline card that will be a get well card for a friend who recently went through surgery. It’s going to be a group card, so the extra space is very convenient!

I used the 1-7/8″ Stylish Shapes square die to cut out three squares from the Sunflower Fields DSP. The Cajun Craze checked print measures 8-1/2″x 1-1/4″. My sentiment, stamped with Cajun Craze ink, comes from Radiant Sunflowers Stamp Set and I cropped it with a Scalloped Blooms die.

Inside, I added a 2nd piece of Basic White to the left because about 30 ladies will be signing this card. The sentiment I added is from Prayers & Promises, stamped with Cajun Craze. Then I stamped a partial line of hearts in Golden Glow, found in Bordered in Beauty.

For an envelope treatment, I glued strips of matching DSP to the left side of the 9-1/2″x 4-1/8″ envelope. The overall dimensions of the card (closed) are 8-1/2″ long by 3-1/2″ wide. The Golden Glow base starts at 8-1/2″x 7″, folded in half.
