I really like this new In Color, Cinnamon Cider. The name fits it perfectly as that is the exact color. I have a simple card for you today. It’s super easy to recreate. It is simply Cinnamon!
The base card is Cinnamon Cider Cardstock. I topped it with the print from In Good Taste that looks a bit like thick paint brushed over a piece of wood. I’m sure there’s a name for the style of painting ~ maybe one of you can tell me the name?
If you look close at the DSP, you will see a little bit of the cinnamon color peeking through the white paint. I cropped a Stitched Shapes circle out of the middle and glued it to a larger circle cut from the Cinnamon Cider DSP. Thinking of You is from Good Morning Magnolia. I stamped it with Cinnamon Cider and added a cinnamon bow.
I love how the Champagne Rhinestones look rather coppery next to these colors.
Did you see my envelope treatment? Not wanting to waste any DSP, I had a 1-1/2″ wide piece left, so I glued that to the middle of the flap and surrounded it with CC Cardstock. I can almost smell the cinnamon, can’t you?

Karen, I was initially kind of “Meh” about Cinnamon Cider, but the more I see it used, the more ways I think of to exploit it. Love this card and the use of both CC and the Textured DSP. Just perfect!

Fun card. I am thinking that is my favorite new color but I really haven’t played with any of the new colors yet. That DSP is so cool!
