Shoebox Swap

Three of my local team members were able to come over this past week for a Shoebox Swap! I learned about shoebox swaps several years ago at a World Card Making Day event that preceded the annual convention. It’s a fun way to spend a crafty day together! We each brought our card to the table and had prepared kits for each of the others to make the card. I loved seeing the creativity of my team members! I thought it would be fun to share them with you!

The first one we made was Shila’s ~

beautiful balloons bundle, bright & beautiful dsp, birthday card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

Shila brought the Beautiful Balloons Bundle with Bright & Beautiful DSP for her festive card.

The next one was Beth’s ~

fresh as a daisy dsp, tri-panel card, thinking of you card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

Beth paired Fresh As A Daisy with Bright & Beautiful DSP for her pretty card.

Then we made mine ~

earthen textures bundle, earthen elegance dsp, thank you card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

Mine was made from the Earthen Textures Bundle and Earthen Elegance DSP.

And we finished it off with Nancy’s ~

dainty delight stamps and dies, timeworn type embossing folder, coloring with blends, brithday card idea, stampin up, karen hallam

Nancy used the Dainty Delight stamps and dies for her lovely card.

Aren’t they all great? We had a fun afternoon. If you are looking for a fun event to hold, try a Shoebox Swap. We thought it was funny that everyone (except mine) was pink! Perhaps the Barbie movie had some influence? We do have a lot of pretty pink shades right now.

Have a great weekend!

  2. Seven of us demonstrators got together last weekend for a shoebox swap. It is such a great way to create, laugh, spend time together and we all get a new card / box!
