Saturday Stamping: Painted Christmas

Welcome, Weekend! Do you have some time to do some stamping? Sometimes Saturday is the best day to unwind in your craft space and create something beautiful! Today I’m mixing new products with an older favorite of mine. Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper is a gorgeous traditional-color, winter-themed paper that I love. I’ve paired it with the  retired Peaceful Boughs stamps and dies today. Here’s my card:

While I recognize that this paper is part of a gorgeous suite with its own stamps and dies (picture shown), I have to admit I went practical this year and passed over some of the products that I loved. Since I had Peaceful Boughs, which only just retired this Spring, I am using those instead.

PAINTED CHRISTMAS SUITE COLLECTION (ENGLISH)

You may have done the same as me! I get it! But hopefully you bought the paper at least because it is fresh and so pretty! If you haven’t yet, get it now HERE. You will love creating with it! Here is a closer look at the DSP:

PAINTED CHRISTMAS 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

Card Recipe
  • Evening Evergreen Cardstock base: 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
  • Pear Pizzazz Cardstock layer: 5″x 3-3/4″
  • Painted Christmas DSP: 4-7/8″x 3-5/8″
  • Pool Party Sheer Ribbon, approx 20″
  • Basic White Cardstock for label, and for inside panel 5-1/4″x 4″
  • Evening Evergreen ink
  • Evening Evergreen Cardstock scraps for boughs
Tips & Tricks
  • After layering the DSP and Pear Pizzazz, wrap the sheer ribbon length-wise around the layers and tie in a generous bow.
  • Pop these two layers up off the base using a slightly smaller rectangle of craft foam (from any craft store) using Multipurpose Glue and weighing it down with a clear acrylic block or book to dry.
  • Attach the green boughs to the lower right corner with Glue Dots, then glue the sentiment label over them, tucking it under your ribbon a little bit.
  • Stamp the inside panel as desired and glue it in place.
