Today is my grandson’s birthday. Happy Birthday, Isaac! He is definitely a Rock Star – and – he is an avid Oakland A’s fan, so green and gold is a MUST!
The Stars Framelits made this shaped card a snap. Garden Green, Glimmer Gold, and Vanilla cardstock were layered, and the gold star and sentiment in the center was stamped with Encore gold ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
I tried something different with this card. See the gold brad at the top? It is a swing-open card with a vanilla layer inside to write my message on.
The largest star was a smidge too big for a regular medium envelope. No problem! I made the envelope with my Envelope Punch Board. (Disclaimer: Since the Regals DSP Stacks are still backordered, I had to go to my retired stack to get a Garden Green sheet. Hopefully those stacks will be available soon!) The gold embossed star on the back of the envelope is only glued down at the bottom, leaving the top open to tuck the flap into. So clever! Thank you 🙂
I decided to give the front of the envelope a little shine as well, so I stamped his name on the front using the Layered Letters Alphabet stamps in Encore Gold ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.
Check out the supplies I used at the bottom of the post and click on any of the pictures to order. It will take you right to my online store. Have a great day!
