Regency Park (for CCMC 763)

This month is flying by! We are on Thursday again, which means Create With Connie & Mary. This week we have a sketch challenge, and I love this sketch! I chose Regency Park DSP to build this card, but I think it will look great with any number of papers. Here is the sketch ~

And here is my card with Regency Park Designer Series Paper (retiring soon) ~

I love the way this turned out. I think the combination of Night of Navy and Petal Pink is really pretty.

Measurement details:
  • Night of Navy Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″ at the top
  • Night of Navy strip 4-3/4″x 3/4″
  • Regency Park 6″x 6″ DSP, two different sheets ~
    • blue dot, 5-1/4″x 1-1/2″
    • Petal Pink stripe, 5-1/4″x 2-1/2″
    • the reverse side of that same pattern (the floral print), 3-1/4″x 3-1/4″ square
  • Basic White Cardstock, 2-1/2″ circle cropped with Beautiful Shapes Dies (retiring soon and discounted), scraps for stamping flowers, and 5-1/4″x 4″ for inside panel
  • Night of Navy 3/8″ Bordered Ribbon, about 4″

Stamping details:
  • The sentiment is from Sentimental Park, stamped with Night of Navy ink.
  • To stamp the sentiment the way I did, you will use two stamps. “Thinking of” is one stamp, and “YOU” is another stamp.
  • For the flowers, also from Sentimental Park, stamp the outline image with Petal Pink, then stamp  the filler image also with Petal Pink but stamped off once for a lighter shade. Dot the centers with a Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker (retiring soon and discounted) and crop it out with the coordinating dies.

Assembling details:
  • Glue the dotted and the striped papers to the card base, butting them up together but not overlapping.
  • Next glue the flowered square down.
  • Glue the Navy strip across the “seam” of the two DSP papers, centering left and right.
  • Adhere the white circle with Dimensionals. Be sure to leave the lower right corner free for the ribbon to tuck under.
  • Fold and tuck the ribbon. Adhere with Glue Dots.
  • Last, glue the stamped and cropped flower spray to the right side of the circle. Use a couple of Dimensionals on the back of the right side to anchor it nicely to the card.
  • Stamp the inside panel as desired. Use a complimentary piece of DSP to decorate the envelope flap if desired.
