Ginkgo Branch (for CC2C)

We have passed the mid-point of April and we have just about a week and 1/2 left to show products from the 2022-23 Annual and the January-April Mini Catalogs! Rosanne suggested that we take this month to showcase some of the retiring items from these catalogs for CASEing Coast To Coast. I’m going to show you her pretty card first. Here from Pennsylvania and Heartfelt Stamping is Rosanne’s card~

For my card here in California, I picked some of my favorite retiring colors, dies and stamps. In fact, the Ginkgo Branch Bundle was my first purchase from the Mini Catalog! It was a stand out to me then and I still love it now. Here is my card~

Materials & measurements:
  • Evening Evergreen Cardstock base, 11″x 4-1/4″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″
  • Soft Succulent Cardstock layer, 5″x 4-1/4″
  • Gold Fine Shimmer Paper layer, 5″x 3-3/4″
  • Lovely in Linen Designer Series Paper, 4-7/8″x 3-5/8″
  • Soft Succulent Fine Shimmer Paper for Ginkgo Die, 4″x 3″
  • Basic White Cardstock for sentiment strip, 3-3/4″x 5-8″

Here are a couple of close ups to show you the shimmer on this card~

I love all the texture going on here.

The Finishing Touches:
  • I stamped the sentiment from Ginkgo Branch in Evening Evergreen, cropped it out with a coordinating die, and attached it with Dimensionals.
  • Then I took a small knotted piece of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and attached it with a Glue Dot.
  • The 3 Soft Succulent In Color Opal Rounds add the extra touch of sparkle and shine.
  • To decorate the envelope flap, I glued down a 1/8″ strip of Gold Fine Shimmer Paper, glued a 6″x 2-1/8″ piece of Enjoy the Journey DSP below it, then trimmed it to size.

The only products on this card that are NOT retiring are the Basic White Cardstock and the Medium White Envelope. If you love these colors, papers, and the Ginkgo Branch Bundle, grab them before they are gone. I’m hoping they aren’t sold out before this is published! If they are gone, then I hope this will give you a good idea to use with products you may already have. [Update on products: As of 4/17, the Ginkgo Branch Stamp Set has sold out, but the Ginkgo Branch Dies are still available, and marked down from $36.00 to $14.40!!!]

I have to say, I’m sad to see them go! But time and Stampin’ Up! keep marching forward. In a couple of weeks we’ll have lots of new goodies to play with and share 🙂 BTW, if you’re interested in a Product Share I’ve got a good one you can participate in. Click HERE to read about it.

  1. I guess I’m late to the party now that it’s retiring, but your card featuring the Ginkgo branch is absolutely lovely. I’m also in awe of how you incorporated so many of the retiring products into creating such a pretty card…Great Job! Looking forward to our next “adventure”!
