OK, tell me the expression on this Rain or Shine turtle isn’t the cutest you’ve ever seen! I knew I’d be making a valentine for one of my grandkids the minute I saw him! I’ve used some “contraband” on my card today, but I was so pleased with the way it turned out, I wanted to share it with you. The non-SU items can be replaced with similar products. BUT the star of the show is this DSP by Stampin’ Up! It makes the cutest Rain or Shine Valentine!
Here’s what I used:
- SU Mango Melody Cardstock base, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, folded at 4-1/4″
- SU Basic White Cardstock layer cropped with stitched die by Mama Elephant
- SU Rain or Shine DSP layer (Flirty Flamingo & white)
- Mod Heart Die by Mama Elephant, SU Rain or Shine DSP (Flirty Flamingo, Mango Melody, and white)
- Mama Elephant small hearts, Basic White and Mango Melody
- Basic White sentiment strip, sentiment from My Favorite Things, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
- Turtle, fussy cut from Rain or Shine DSP
- Sparkling Clear Confetti by Pretty Pink Posh
I layered the large heart onto Basic White and cute around it, leaving just enough border to make it pop off the pink.
You can see the glossy coating on his flower in this light. Here’s a look at the whole pack of this Specialty DSP:
