Pocket Card for MMS

I always enjoy playing along with Jeanie Stark’s Mystery Monday Stampin’. And though I don’t alway find the time to get to it, summer does lend a bit more “play” time, as it should! I made this pocket card for MMS. Do you ever try to follow her clues and see what you end up with? It’s fun, but I don’t always trust myself to use new or even current DSP! So I usually dip into my retired box of papers and that feels a little safer somehow! Today, I used True Blue Florals DSP. It was a Product of the Month earlier in the year.

Here’s my card:

Her directions called for paper that is non-directional and that it would show both sides. I found this piece to be perfect! And the All Aflutter butterfly punch bundle gave me some great embellishments!

Here’s what I used:
  • Cardstock – Secret Sea, Basic White
  • DSP – True Blue Florals
  • Ribbon – Secret Sea Faux Linen Ribbon
  • Ink Pad – Secret Sea
  • Blends – Secret Sea, Balmy Blue, Lemon Lolly
  • Stamp & Punch Bundle – All Aflutter
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels

If you’d like measurements and directions to try one of your own, click HERE to find Mystery Monday Stampin’. If I were you, now that you know what it looks like, I’d look for a DSP that has complimentary sides and a non-directional pattern. Let the DSP determine what color your cardstock will be. And to decorate, use your DSP pattern to help you decide what you would like to use. It’s all about the “play!” And using retired products makes playing less stressful, in my opinion!
