Playing With Patterns CASE

On page 101 of the 2020 Annual Catalog, there is a box gift that was wrapped with Playing With Patterns. I thought it would make a cute card, so I set about to make a Playing With Patterns CASE from the catalog photo.

Here is my card. I love how it turned out so much that I’m going to try to CASE my CASE with some of the other pattern combinations!

Here are the details:

  • Purple Posy Cardstock, 8-1/2″x 5-1/2″, scored and folded at 4-1/4″
  • Playing With Patterns DSP, (Purple Posy stripe) 5-1/4″x 4″, and (dotted purple) 4″x 2-1/2″
  • Ornate Borders Die, Night of Navy Cardstock
  • Playing With Patterns Ribbon Trio Pack
  • Whisper White Cardstock for sentiment banner
  • Night of Navy Ink Pad, So Sentimental Stamp Set

Do you love that big bow? I started with about a yard of ribbon and tied it around the paper in a normal bow. The tails were pretty long, so I tucked each one under the bow, creating second loops, then tied it together with Baker’s Twine. It’s my accidental floofy bow!!!

At this point I’m leaving the inside blank and ready to fill in when the appropriate celebration occurs. It might be a birthday, or maybe a wedding. Or a new baby. Or any celebration that calls for confetti!

Have a happy day!

  1. Karen, this is gorgeous. LOVE the bow and was going to ask you how you did it when bam you told us! This DSP did not speak to me but I am second guessing myself with your card.

    • Thanks, Michelle! I didn’t think much about the paper at first either. When I took a closer look, I can imagine all sorts of things with it! It’s the “sleeper” DSP in this catalog!

One of my favorite sayings! Such a pretty presentation either a box or card. But, I think the card is the best. Love it.
