Playing With (birthday) Patterns

Have you gathered that I love Playing With Patterns? Today I’m playing with (birthday) patterns, and this particular print with the different colored lines just begged for randomly repeated stamping!

I took the Happy Birthday stamp from Itty Bitty Greetings and started stamping, randomly, with the different colors of ink from the paper. Let me tell you, I didn’t overthink it! But I did stamp one color repeatedly in different areas so I wouldn’t end up with one color in a lump. That’s as technical as I’m going to get! 🙂

I layered it with Night of Navy, then added a Navy circle (largest of Layering Circles Dies) off the edge. With scissors, I cut off the overhang. I mounted that to a base of Calypso Coral.

The cupcake die is an old one I’ve had for quite awhile, but the paper I cut it with is – you guessed it – Playing With Patterns! Love the tiny circles that match the wonky stripes!

Three yellow Holiday Rhinestones add a touch of “glow” from the candle. And that’s my fun birthday card share for today!
