More Popsicle Sweetness!

I’m having fun with this Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper. Here’s another card with some more popsicle sweetness.

Question: Do you save your old favorite stamp sets? I recently re-discovered Suite Sentiments from who-knows-how-long-ago on my shelf. It was one of the best multi-sentiment set I’ve ever had. I seem to remember that each of the sentiments with their different fonts went with other stamp sets current at the time. But look how cute this one is with the popsicles! I feel like I’ve just received a new stamp set (even though it’s been on my shelf for years!)

Sometimes simple is spectacular!

There is nothing complicated about this layout, but I love its simplicity. Poppy Parade is my card base, layer, and sentiment piece. Ice Cream Corner is the background and foreground (flip the paper to get both prints). I cropped the sentiment piece with Stitched Rectangle Dies and heat set the sentiment with White Emboss Powder. Simple! The ribbon I used is some left over from the Holiday Catalog – Poppy Parade with gold metallic edges.

On the inside I stamped the “Part 2” of the front sentiment in Poppy Parade and stamped a popsicle to the side with Petal Pink, Poppy Parade (stamped off once) and Cinnamon Cider. Then I “winked” it with Wink of Stella for a subtle sparkle.

How fun! I use my retired things. I am really enjoying this “cool” paper and trying to decide if I need to buy a pack of it or wait to see what is in the new catalog for birthday ideas. I am thinking I will use it a lot during the summer. I have received several cards using this paper and all are so fun and so different. Love your version but I don’t think I have that golden oldie set. But, I have been finding all kinds of stuff like a card kit of the month of yours I never put together so it is all fun and new!!!

  2. Your designs are always spot on, but what I love is your usage of “retired” things like the stamp set for the perfect sentiment. It just takes it over the top. Great card!
