Today’s card features the stamp set, “Holiday Haul”, by Newton’s Nook. The back end of this cute little truck is filled with holiday goodies!
It was inspired by this week’s Tic,Tac,Toe Challenge #229. I filled two rows with my design! I went down the middle with Ribbon/Patterned Paper/Die Cut. And I went diagonally from the bottom left with Matching Envelope/Patterned Paper/Holiday!
Here’s the Tic,Tac,Toe Board:
Directions:
- I made the card base with Thick Basic White Cardstock, 11″x 4-1/4″, folded at the top at 5-1/2″.
- Then I added a layer of Joy of Christmas Shaded Spruce gingham DSP, 5-1/4″x 4″.
- Next I stamped the Holiday Haul truck image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White paper and colored it with Stampin’ Blends.
- Using the largest stitched square die from Stylish Shapes, I cropped out around the truck. After that I cropped the actual truck image using the coordinating Holiday Haul Die. To lift it up quite a bit, I put a double layer of Dimensionals behind the truck. I glued the square with the truck hole down over the gingham DSP, then placed the truck back over the hole. The Dimensionals lift the truck up high enough that the gingham is visible around the sides! Cute!
- Next I stamped the sentiment from Holiday Haul onto a 2-1/2″x 1″ piece of Basic White and cropped it out with the smallest Deckled Rectangle Die. I glued it under the truck image.
- Last, I added a red bow for a splash of color, adhering it with a Glue Dot.
Stampin’ Blends Colors Used:
Smoky Slate, Gray Granite, Balmy Blue, Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, Real Red, Basic Black, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lolly, Highland Heather, Azure Afternoon, and Bubble Bath
That’s a lot of colors, but it’s for the holidays! May your holidays be filled with all the joys – and colors – of the season!
