Quiet Meadow (For Pals’ October Blog Hop)

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is The Color Purple. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I tried a technique that I haven’t done in a while ~ emboss resist! The Quiet Meadow Stamp Set seemed perfect for this technique and some little purple flowers.

On a 3″x 4-1/4″ piece of Crumb Cake, I stamped the meadow flowers with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I used a Water Painter and some Gorgeous Grape ink to “paint” the flowers purple.

For the sentiment, I stamped it with Gorgeous Grape, then Versamark, and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

That piece was glued to a 3-1/4″x 4-1/2″ piece of Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, and that to a 3-3/4″x 5″ piece of Highland Heather Cardstock. I glued it all to a base card of Thick Basic White, 11″x 4-1/4″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″.

The final details are two purple Glossy Dots and some purple DSP added to the back flap of a Medium White Envelope.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop next month (second Wednesday), when our theme will be Home for the Holidays.

Until then, have fun in your craft space.
