Hippest Hippos!

I didn’t think I was going to get the Hippos. But I have to admit, they are pretty stinkin’ cute! They are definitely the hippest hippos!

I made this card for my grandson who just finished swimming lessons. Not a great fan of the water, I hope he sees the humor in this fun little card.

I put a piece of Window Sheet behind the swim goggles for an extra detail. And I made the card interactive in that the hippo can come out of the tub and jump back in!

The card base is Pacific Point. The DSP is from the retired Waves pack. I colored the hip hippo with Smoky Slate Blends and a little touch of Flirty Flamingo. The tub is a Silver Foil.

You can get the Hippo Stamp Set and the coordinating dies through the month of August. They are free Sale-a-bration items. Each one is available with a $50 purchase (so $100 for both) and they are just too cute to pass up!

  1. Could you please share how you did the mechanism. ? I love your cards but this is sooo cute .

    • Thanks, Jean. There isn’t any mechanism. The hippo comes all the way out and tucks back in when you are done. I only glued the bottom and sides of the tub, so he slips in and out. Very easy!
