Heartfelt Gratitude for Festive Friday Challenge #43

I combined products from Stampin’ Up! and My Favorite Things today in order to create a card to enter in the Festive Friday Challenge #43.

Here is the banner that inspired my design. I picked encouragement/friendship themes, orange, a tiny bit of blue, and hearts for my card. You can see all of the entries and play along by clicking HERE.

FF#001 Festive Friday Faves

This theme goes right along with my 30 Days of Encouragement, so I was excited to use several of the elements! The stamps I chose for my sentiments are part of the Blog Candy prize, A Big Thank You Bundle. There is still time to leave me a comment on how you are encouraging others with your cards. I will be picking a winner on Oct. 1st.

The sweet little MFT girl is standing in front of a Stitched Be Mine heart die that I lifted up on fun foam cut from the same die. Her orange (Grapefruit Grove) gingham dress is from the 2018-20 In Color pack of 6″ x 6″ DSP. The sentiment from A Big Thank You is stamped onto a Stitched Labels die cut piece of Whisper White. I colored her with Blends Markers.

“You are the best” is also in A Big Thank You and the small Grapefruit Grove heart is from Meant To Be.

I sponged the background hearts using a MFT stencil and three shades of orange from Stampin’ Up!: Mango Melody, Grapefruit Grove, and Terracotta Tile.

What a fun challenge! It took me into my cupboards to see what I had to fit the Inspo List, and I think this card will be an encouragement to someone special!

Have a wonderful week ahead! Be sure to do something every day that makes your heart sing!

    • Thanks, Linda! I never know how people will respond when I use other products, but there are some that I enjoy so much that I want to share on occasion!

  5. Thank you, Chris! I didn’t know how to color her at first either. All I can say is try it! Then try it again, until you like it! The Blends make it easy 🙂 !

  6. Very cute. I always say I am going to get one of these little girls but then never do. Maybe I don’t know how to color her face and hair. You did a good job coloring her and piecing the dress was another cute idea. A very fun and cute card.
