Happy & Heartfelt Heart Card

This card almost doesn’t qualify for Simple Saturday ~ because I used a die and die-cut machine. But ~ it is such a simple design that you can make many of, if you like, with any heart die or punch or even scissors (the old-fashioned way!) It’s a happy & heartfelt heart card ~

Quick & Simple Construction:

• Make a base using Thick Basic White Cardstock, 11″x 4-1/4″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″.
• Cut a piece of Real Red Cardstock to 5-1/4″x 4″.
• Now cut a piece of striped Sweet Talk DSP to 5-1/8″x 3-7/8″ and glue it to the Red layer.
• Cut, punch, or crop a large heart using Sweet Talk DSP for the pink and Real Red for the outside layer. For mine I used our retired Stitched Be Mine Dies – the largest heart with the scalloped border.
• Stamp a simple message in the center of the pink heart using Real Red ink and a stamp set such as Happy & Heartfelt. I (heart) this stamp set! 🙂
• Tie a bow with Red ribbon and attach it to the right side of the heart with a Glue Dot.
• Add some Red Rhinestones or any bling that you have.
• Place Dimensionals on the back of the DSP/Real Red layer and adhere it to the white card base.
